    Intelligence Research/Operations Specialist

    Do you want to work on the cutting edge of information collection and dissemination? Are you interested in possible domestic or foreign travel?

    In your position as an Intelligence Research/Operations Specialist with the Department of the Navy, you will supervise, lead or perform duties that pertain to one or a combination of duties in the following areas:

  • S&T Analysis: determine the characteristics and performance of a variety of     foreign naval platforms (ship/sub/air/riverine), weapons, sensors and other     electronics to inform the fleet of what they may face, the acquisition community of     what they should design against, and to prevent technological surprise.
  • Operations & Tactics: become familiar with naval operating patterns, training and     other exercises in a region to report and predict how the systems above will be     used by various navies to allow USN forces to develop countermeasures.
  • Terrorism: analysis of all terrorist/non-state actor use of maritime forces (naval     and civil) to warn against unconventional threats.
  • Civil Maritime analysis: including cargo tracking to identify and prevent delivery of     systems that could pose a threat to United States Navy forces to potentially     hostile forces, analysis of characteristics and performance of civil fleets and     counter-drug/counterterrorism/counter-proliferation analysis.
  • Regional analysis: understand the strategic goals and naval doctrine of foreign     countries to put all of the above into perspective.
  • General Military Intelligence: produce all-source products and/or cultural     intelligence products for assigned regions of the world.

  • Will apply a professional knowledge of social work/psychological principles,     theories, and methods to specific drug and alcohol abuse situations and problems     of individuals who present for services.

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • ASAP clinical providers will have a minimum of a 60-hour Master’s degree in     social work or clinical/counseling psychology, per se, from a regionally accredited     university.
  • Licensed as an INDEPENDENT provider:
        - Social Worker

        - Marriage & Family Therapist
  • License must be under the degree in which one matriculated, except for the     LMFT, which must have a 60-hr master’s degree with a combination of     psychology and marriage and family therapy courses.
  • Must have obtained license by examination (grandfathering of license not     accepted).
  • Certification in substance abuse rehabilitation: in good standing with certifying     body. Certification is defined as acceptable when: Applicant has passed a     proctored (education testing center), written, comprehensive examination in     substance abuse rehabilitation, inclusive of bio-psychosocial     screening/assessment; psychopharmacology; confidentiality/ethics; DSM-IV     diagnostic criteria; medical aspects; treatment methodologies, planning; and     follow-up care.

  • Current Competence: Recent (within past 3 years) full-time clinical experience with adults, in substance abuse rehabilitation.

  • Willing to undergo random urinalysis on a recurring basis.
  • Can be privileged at the independent level for patient care.

  • Salary Range: 48,148.00 - 89,827.00 USD per year
